You're completely correct, Noelle, about the migration to the country. While the media tend to focus on the dire situation in some rural areas, those areas with nice scenery and amenities are rebounding. Many of these migrants are featured on the Renewing the Countryside (www.renewingthecountryside.org) website. We're amongst good company.

As for eco-friendly travel options mentioned by Sharon, we're on the same page. We hope to submit numerous articles in the coming months.

Welcome to writing for Green Options! An inspiring story indeed. And your Inn looks lovely. I'd love to read about more places for eco-friendly travel on here.

What an incredible story -- I hear all the time from people who want to live on a farm and be perfectly sustainable. My best friend's favorite book is The Self Sufficient Life, by John Seymour yet he still rides he corporate train. A lot of people never take the leap -- I'll forward your website.
