web business promotion is basically all about the quanity of other pages of content connecting to your site. when not having those inlinks you're somewhat screwed. this became clear to me soon after becoming a member of what is in my opinion the most powerful semi-automatic backlink building application out there ... promoting website

[...] The Direct Marketing Voice: Going Postal AND Going Green “When I hear statements like, ‘[Junk mailers] are cutting down trees willy-nilly, and that has got to stop’ from a consumer, I feel obligated to address this issue. As a person that is (obviously) very entrenched in the direct marketing industry and aware of the situation, I’m proud to say that we at QuantumDigital take the environment very seriously and encourage our customers to conduct a ‘greener’ direct mail campaign.” [...]

All the above are great ideas - especially that angles of maintaining clean mail lists, using recycled paper products, and most of all, allowing people to opt out of future mailings. And in the end, it's up to use to make sure we drop all of this mail into the recycle bin.
