I am a witness to how enriching such an experience can be, both to the volunteer and to the people he helps directly. The organization for which I work dedicates itself to help improve living conditions of the less privileged people in Mexico.
Community projects are often neglected by the Government because of lack of funds or just because they don't "shine" too much, but sometimes they are vital for the people involved. Also, funds donated by volunteers are used directly to ease the need, and they multiply enormously. One dollar well spent goes a long way where there is no means.
Congratulations on bringing yet another excellent report on what really matters.
Greetings from your friend in Mexico.
