Listen: ‘It’s All Good’ Features Social Enterprise soleRebels

We love all our fans on social media, so were really thrilled when one such fan reached out to us. Debbie Hyde, from the UK tells us that she loves the site and routinely features our stories on an internet radio show she hosts on – Brooklands Radio. Talking with Debbie, we hatched out a small plan for her to have a special Ecopreneurist feature on her show every week! We are super stoked!

Tune in: on Sundays at 21:00 GMT (4 pm EST)– a radio station run entirely by volunteers.

It’s All Good: On the Show, Sunday Feb 24

This week, Debbie will talk about a social entrepreneur who is creating impact on so many levels in Ethiopia.  She will feature soleRebels and its founder Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu.

What do you do when there’s no jobs in your community?  Well, if you are Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu, you rebel by creating jobs in a sustainable industry, that’s how!

Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu began SoleRebels as a way of bringing jobs to her community.  When she migrated from the countryside in Gojjam to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia in search of ‘a better life’ and saw that there really wasn’t one – she took action.  She made a commitment to not only create good paying jobs for her fellow citizens but also a company that sources and operates sustainably.
