After some extensive polling, Future360 discovered that cleantech isn’t exactly well known. In fact, most people have no idea what it is. So they launched Operation Cleantech to let everyone in on the best kept secret in the world.

First thing we need to understand is just how many people don’t understand cleantech. We sent out reporter Bryan Erwin out onto the streets of downtown Los Angeles to find out.

Answers ranged from a cleaning service to crime scene clean up to alternative transportation. However, once Angelenos learned that cleantech referred to superior technologies that use less resources — like green buildings, renewable energy, energy efficiency and electric vehicles — they were supportive of clean technology overall.
