Endeavor AM

Endeavor is a global nonprofit that transforms emerging countries by supporting High-Impact Entrepreneurs.

The Endeavor Effect is looking to create a culture of supported innovation and entrepreneurs which will provide global solutions to pressing social issues and a business eco-system which supports and sustains entrepreneurship. is a worldwide germination and support system for fostering entrepreneurship. Their mission includes:

..Identifying and supporting the continued growth of a select group of entrepreneurs in emerging market countries, creating jobs and adding revenues that would lay the groundwork for a new attitude towards entrepreneurship in those societies.

Recently, Endeavor released a new report called the “IMPACT OF ENDEAVOR CHILE.”  Chile is rapidly putting itself in pole position on the entrepreneurial map.  It has surpassed major metropolitan cities such as; Berlin, Madrid, Chicago and Austin for being an entrepreneurial hub.  Eco-systems like this do not just sprout up overnight – they have to be assiduously cultivated and developed.  That’s where comes into play.

How exactly did Chile, a country with a population only 5% as large as that of the United States, become the entrepreneurial hot-spot it currently is?  Much of it is due to the 300+ entrepreneurs in Chile who committed to creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem.

It all began with the 66 Endeavor Entrepreneurs who have been chosen since 1998.  Between them, these entrepreneurs have gone forward to support 5,800 jobs and have generated over $400MM in revenue in 2011 alone.  In addition, they have inspired, mentored and invested in over 160 other companies.

Entrepreneurs who are part of the Endeavor program are more than 30% likely to mentor, 50% likely to inspire other entrepreneurial endeavors and have invested in over 160 other companies than non-participants.

  1. Great post Pattie, The future lies in the hands of young entrepreneurs and Cleantech seems like a great path to sustainability. I believe we can address these pressing social issues and incorporate environmental factors into every business plan. Keep up the good work!
