Impact TexasIf you’re not from Texas, you might think that it’s all about oil, country music, and raising cattle down in the Lone Star State. Oh, and maybe also that giant little interactive media festival that now attracts over a hundred thousand film, music, and digital tastemakers each year.

However, a new event in Austin may change your mind about that, as it will be bringing together impact investors, social entrepreneurs, foundations, nonprofits, venture capitalists, mentors, and policy makers to help build a stronger and more sustainable impact investment market in Texas.

“The next investment frontier combines economic growth with social impact.”

IMPACT Texas, held January 9th and 10th 2014 at the AT&T Conference Center, is the first of its kind for the state of Texas, and it has a big vision:

“A strong, diverse, well-capitalized and sustainable impact investment market in the state of Texas, through which entrepreneurs and organizations addressing important social challenges can access appropriate financial products and support to grow their impact in Texas and beyond.”

If you’re a social entrepreneur, an investor, a philanthropist, or involved in any aspect of the impact investing eco-system, you’ll want to check out what IMPACT Texas has to offer.
